Role of housekeepers and maintenance men: why are they so important?

Maintenance agents are specifically trained in cleaning any surface: floors of any type, cleaning of offices and bathrooms, electronic equipment, glass surfaces, dishes, etc. They know how to handle maintenance equipment and cleaning products safely.

The different types of professional cleaning:

Professional cleaning concerns a wide range of services, each with its specificities.

Manual washing:

Manual washing corresponds to all cleaning operations that are not carried out with a machine, but only by human intervention: washing floors, flat surfaces, etc.

Manual washing is used in the event of small surfaces, cluttered trays (furniture, tables, and chairs, etc.), and slightly to moderately soiled floors, which do not require significant scrubbing.

Washing with a scrubber:

The scrubber or floor washer is a machine for cleaning floors. Thanks to its two reservoirs and its suction system, it washes and dries in a single pass.

Its three functions are:

- Wet cleaning;

- Scraping and degreasing thanks to its brush powered by an electric motor;

- Suction of the surface by the action of a motorized pump and collection of dirty water in a tank. Due to its size, the scrubber is reserved for large areas and is not very cluttered. It is also useful for floors that need to be washed frequently.

Carpet shampoo:

Carpets are surfaces, that clog dust, and dirt. They require a specific cleaning every 6 months, to be carried out with a shampooer and a product specially adapted for carpets. This service is not necessarily included in the usual maintenance contracts.

Sandblasting is a cleaning technique that uses the propulsion of sand against the surface to be cleaned to loosen dirt. It allows the coating to be cleaned to be abraded and stripped. This technique is used in particular for facade renovations.

High-pressure cleaning or steam cleaning:

Both of these techniques rely on the use of water to loosen surfaces. High-pressure cleaning affects the pressure and the volume of water. It is used to quickly loosen stubborn soils from large areas. To be reserved for outdoor use or in environments with easy water flow.

Steam cleaning:

Steam cleaning is ideal for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. The dry steam loosens dirt but also kills germs and bacteria. It is particularly recommended on stainless steel, but also for cleaning environments where hygiene is essential (medical, school, restaurants, swimming pools, etc.).

Ultrasonic cleaning:

Ultrasonic cleaning is done by combining microbubbles and a specialized detergent, in an ultrasonic bath. With the action of detergent and bubbles, hard-to-reach areas can be thoroughly cleaned. It is particularly recommended for cleaning medical parts (surgical tools, laboratories, dental prostheses, etc.) and the aeronautical industry.

Bio-cleaning is essential in ultra-clean environments such as healthcare establishments. It is based on three principles: cleaning with a detergent, rinsing the surfaces to remove dirt and the remains of the cleaning product, then disinfection with a bactericidal agent.

On certain surfaces such as equipment or furniture, disinfectant wipes are particularly practical. The same is true for dusting wipes or microfibers which capture dust in their fibers.

Disinfection and decontamination:

Disinfection consists of the application of a disinfectant product to a surface, to eliminate potential viruses, bacteria, fungi or mold. It is a preventive treatment.

Decontamination takes place in the event of proven contamination. In this case, the surfaces will be thoroughly treated and the ambient air will be purified by spraying disinfectant through a nebulizer. - No.1 Maid Agency In Singapore | Trusted | Reliable
